Artist Statement: I had a great deal of fun working on this project. A quick look inside the .psd will reveal the dozens of color and filter combinations that I considered while trying to decide on a final concept. The more I worked with it, the more things just sort of fell into place. Digital Painting: Prehistoric Cave Art

Artist Statement: After watching the video by Chris Gaynor on how to render different lighting effects in Photoshop, I did a quick Google images search for “cave paintings” and looked at several authentic examples. I tried to use these examples as inspiration when creating my own piece. I wanted the painting to appear as if someone had literarily ground rock into rock to create the designs.
